Bio
Coach Danny Faust
Assistant Football, Westwood High School
Coach Danny Faust brings extensive experience and a proven track record to his role in high school athletics. Over his long coaching career, he has served as Offensive Coordinator at three different schools, guiding 12 teams to the playoffs, including a standout season reaching the quarterfinals with Leander High School.
In addition to his football expertise, Coach Faust has contributed to the development of student-athletes in track, basketball, baseball, powerlifting, and wrestling, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to fostering growth across multiple sports. Notably, he led Jasper High School to a state championship in powerlifting in 1998.
Renowned for his dedication and strong work ethic, Coach Faust approaches coaching with the philosophy:
“Do it right, do it right. Do it wrong, do it long.”
He is deeply committed to helping student-athletes grow as individuals, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and personal development alongside athletic achievement. For Coach Faust, the most rewarding moments are witnessing students smile, improve, and mature both on and off the field.
Coach Faust and his wife, Peggy, are proud parents of four children — three daughters and one son. Outside of coaching, he enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, and a wide range of outdoor activities, and he maintains a lifelong passion for football.
